1. Request the right Instagram relationship export
Open FANS and use its guided instructions or video help to request your Instagram information. You obtain the data from Instagram or Meta; you do not log into Instagram inside FANS. Meta documents its Download Your Information controls in Accounts Center, accessible through its apps' settings. Labels can vary, so follow the information-download or export option you see.
- Select your intended Instagram account. If you manage several profiles, confirm the username before requesting the file. FANS supports exports from your own public or private account; you do not need to make a private profile public.

2. Choose where to keep the original ZIP
Save the actual downloaded archive in the iPhone Files app. Apple's download guide shows the Downloads folder in Files under iCloud Drive. Your chosen download location may differ.
If you prefer to save the download outside iCloud Drive, choose an available folder under On My iPhone. Apple identifies this as local file storage. Existing cloud copies and your device backup settings are separate; moving a file does not remove an earlier cloud copy. This storage choice lets you decide where to keep your original download.
Keep the original ZIP intact for import. You do not need to paste usernames into a website, upload screenshots, or convert the relationship lists into a spreadsheet. Selecting one complete archive keeps the handoff simple and avoids the work of matching hundreds of names yourself.
3. Import the archive into FANS
Return to FANS, follow the import flow, and choose the ZIP from Files. If the file is stored in iCloud or another file provider, let its download finish before selecting it. FANS then compares the supplied relationship lists locally and presents your non-follower results.
A useful pre-import check is: right Instagram profile, both relationship lists, All time, original ZIP. 4. Use the result to answer your actual follow-back question
