Quick answer: To share a FANS result, send a short summary or a carefully checked screenshot of only the relevant information. You usually do not need to send your Instagram export ZIP. Include when you imported the data and describe the result as accounts that did not follow you back in that export—not proof that those people recently unfollowed you.
Perhaps a friend is helping you review your following list, or you want to explain your cleanup progress. The useful information may be a count, one question, or a few accounts. The source archive contains the underlying relationship lists and may contain additional information depending on what you requested from Instagram.
Start with what a non-follower result actually means. FANS compares accounts you follow with accounts following you in your imported data. Sharing that comparison does not establish when a relationship changed or why.
Choose the smallest useful thing to share

A text summary often works better than a screenshot
If names do not help the recipient answer your question, leave them out. Here is a fictional example you can adapt:
“I imported my Instagram export on September 27 and reviewed 24 accounts that did not follow me back in that data. I am keeping the accounts whose posts I enjoy. This is a snapshot comparison, not a list of people confirmed to have unfollowed me today.”
Replace the date and count with your own information. If you record the export request or download date too, label each date separately. An import date describes when you opened the data in FANS; it does not establish the precise moment Instagram captured every relationship.
Do not write “24 people unfollowed me today” based only on a non-follower result. Some accounts may never have followed you, and others may have changed since the export. Our guide to unfollowed versus never followed back explains the evidence needed to distinguish those cases.
If a screenshot is necessary, review the exact attachment
- Decide what the recipient needs to see. A count or one relevant row may be enough. Avoid capturing unrelated usernames, profile photos, or notification banners.
- Capture and crop the image. Apple documents how to take, crop, save, and share an iPhone screenshot. Controls vary with the iPhone and iOS version.
- Check the saved image at a readable size. Look at the edges and any remaining names or photos. A quick marker stroke or blur is not a reliable substitute for excluding information you do not want to share. If you cannot confidently remove it, use a text summary instead.
- Open the attachment preview in the destination app. Confirm that you selected the intended image, rather than the original screenshot, a larger selection of photos, or the ZIP.
- Add a snapshot caption and check the audience. State when you imported the data and what it shows. Review the recipient or group before sending.
These are ordinary iPhone screenshot and messaging steps. They do not depend on a dedicated FANS sharing, CSV export, or public-report feature. Do not assume such a feature exists just because you can capture what is displayed on your screen.
Local processing does not control a copy you send
FANS processes your follower and following lists locally on your device without requesting your Instagram login. Forwarding a ZIP or screenshot through another app is a separate choice: that app and the recipient receive whatever you attach.
Even if every username is public, assembling them into a list reveals something about your account's relationships. A private message can also be copied or forwarded. Choose the audience and level of detail accordingly; a summary is often sufficient.
After sharing, review any extra screenshots or archive copies you created. Deleting a local copy does not recall a message someone already received. For handling the source file after import, see whether to keep or delete your Instagram export.
