Quick answer: If you already bought FANS Pro but the full result still appears locked, check the FANS subscription in your Apple Account, then use Restore Purchase. on the FANS purchase screen. Restore checks an existing purchase; it does not import an Instagram archive, refresh your follower lists, or renew an expired subscription. Confirm the existing purchase before buying another plan.
This guide covers missing paid access after a purchase, reinstall, or device change. If you are deciding whether to subscribe, first read what FANS Pro unlocks. FANS is free to download; a Pro subscription is required to reveal the complete non-follower list.
First identify which part is missing
Paid access and imported data solve different problems. A purchase can be recognized while an export still needs importing. An export can also import successfully while full-list access remains locked.
| What you see | What to check | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| A Pro offer despite a subscription that should still provide access | The purchasing Apple Account and the subscription's displayed status | Use Restore Purchase, then check full-list access again. |
| No imported result after reinstalling | Whether you have selected an export on this installation | Import a valid official JSON ZIP; purchase restoration is a separate check. |
| A result with old usernames or relationships | Which export snapshot you imported | Request and import a newly prepared export. |
| An expired subscription | The expiration shown by Apple | Restoring cannot create a new paid period; review the current offer if you want to subscribe again. |
For example, if the app recognizes Pro but has no result to display, repeatedly restoring the purchase will not supply the missing Instagram file. Use the FANS import walkthrough for that step.
Check the purchase before trying again
- Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Select FANS and read the plan, status, and dates shown by Apple.
- Check which Apple Account bought it. The account used for App Store purchases matters. Your Instagram username does not identify your Apple purchase.
- If you cannot find it, inspect purchase history. Look for the FANS transaction and its date. A past transaction proves a purchase occurred; it does not, by itself, prove access is still active today.
- Compare the evidence. Record whether Apple shows an ongoing subscription, a future expiration, or an already expired period. Avoid starting another purchase just to test the first one.
Apple's subscription instructions show where to find the subscription page. For a missing transaction, use Apple's purchase-history guide; its filters can help locate an older purchase. If you use multiple Apple Accounts, check the account that made the purchase.
Use Restore Purchase in FANS
Open FANS and look for Restore Purchase. on its purchase screen. It is a small text control beneath the offer details; placement may vary with the app version and screen. Tap it with an internet connection, complete any Apple system prompt yourself, and then check whether the complete result is accessible.
A restore prompt concerns your App Store purchase. FANS does not need your Instagram password, verification code, cookies, or recovery codes for this step. Do not send Apple credentials to support either.
Apple's guidance for missing in-app purchases recommends using the original purchasing account and the app's restore option. If restoration fails, Apple also advises checking purchase restrictions and restarting the device. A restore attempt is not a guarantee: an account mismatch, expired access, or an unresolved app issue still needs investigation.
What restoration cannot bring back
Restoring a purchase checks paid access. It does not recover a deleted ZIP from Files, retrieve a previous follower list from a FANS server, or make an old export current. FANS processes your official Instagram Followers and Following lists on-device, without connecting to your Instagram session.
Fictional example: Maya reinstalls FANS while her subscription still has access remaining. She restores the purchase, then imports a ZIP she saved in July. Recognizing Pro can let her reveal that imported result, but the relationships still come from the July file. For a current review she needs a fresh export. This example explains the two separate tasks; it does not promise that every restoration will succeed.
See what to expect after deleting or reinstalling FANS if local results are missing. A non-follower result means an account is in Following but absent from Followers in the imported snapshot; it does not establish an exact unfollow event or time.
If Pro still appears locked
Contact FANS support with the app version, iOS version, approximate purchase date, the subscription status Apple displays, and what happened after you tapped Restore Purchase. Describe whether the problem is a locked result, a missing import, or a restore error.
If you include a screenshot, crop it to the relevant status or error and hide unrelated purchases, account details, and payment information. Your Instagram export is not needed to explain a purchase-access problem. If support later needs a transaction identifier, share only the requested detail through the official support channel.
Restoring access does not cancel renewal. If your goal is to stop future billing, follow how to cancel FANS Pro and verify the result in Apple's subscription page. FANS does not automate Instagram follows or unfollows and is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta.
